I’m Patti Flinn, a Gen X woman exploring my happy and finding my shine.
Like most women of the “forgotten” generation, our life perspective is slightly different. As the bridge between old school and new school, Gen X people have learned how to bend, flex and stretch to deal with life’s challenges.
Gen X bends but–God-willing–we don’t break.
Frankly, if we can bend for the world, we can bend a little for ourselves. We don’t need to be focused on making things easier for others all the time, do we? We already grew up way faster than we wanted to, can’t we do things for ourselves first, for a change?
This isn’t a site about the world, it’s just a site about my perspective as a Gen X woman. It’s all about me, me, me, me, me… [psst … generational & cultural reference there.]
Maybe you’re a Gen X woman in a similar space in life, looking forward and excited to re-define who you are according to what you want for a change!
Writing is my thing.
My work has been featured in The Writer Magazine, Thrive Global, The Ascent, The Writer Cooperative, In the Land of the Forgotten, and more. I’m a published novelist (with a pen name) and will post updates on my writing on this site. Subscribe to stay in the know. Read my blog just for kicks.
